Reading: We are reading "Queen of Track" this week.

Vocabulary- vaulted, relay, rescue worker, athletics, tuition, campus, toll, hardships, proclaimed, clear, dainty, segregation, and anonymous.

Grammar: "Subjects and Predicates

Writing: Introduce Friendly Letters

Spelling- allocate, cyclist, cyclops, deflect, dislocate, encyclopedia, genuflect, inflection, locale, location, locomotive, motorcycle, phonetic, phonics, phonograph, reflection, reflector, saxophone, unicycle, and xylophone. 

Tuesday: 

Reading: Skills with Workbook

                             p. 15 &16- Word analysis

                             p. 17 & 18- Vocabulary

                             p. 21& 22- Sequence

                             p. 25 & 26- Spelling

Grammar: "Subjects and Predicates       

Writing: Friendly Letters & R.A.C.E. responses

 Spelling- Type spelling words 3 times each into Google Classroom.

Wednesday:

Read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. Read Chapters 14-22. Work on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Packets.   

 Grammar- "Subjects and Predicates"  

 Writing- Cursive handwriting practice, Friendly Letter rough draft.

Spelling- Practice Spelling Test!

Thursday:

Reading: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Work on novel packets-  Types of characters-dynamic, flat, stationary, round, etc.

Grammar: "Subjects and Predicates daily grade

Writing: We Will Write as a whole group.

Spelling: Write a short story using ten spelling words.

Friday:

Unit 1 Lesson 2 Test- word analysis, vocabulary, and cold read comprehension questions.   

Read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 

Work on novel packets-  Types of characters
