Vocabulary- chanced, fumed, rummaged, reluctantly, slate, nerves, quivering, instinct, glumly, association, commotion, and privacy.

Grammar: "Four Kinds of Sentences"  Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, and Exclamatory. Review for daily grade tomorrow.

Writing: Introduce Friendly Letters

Spelling- arrangement, contentment, endorsement, fondness, forgiveness, generousness, government, improvement, loneliness, nastiness, nonabsorbent, nondescript, nonexistent, nonresponsive, nontoxic, prearrange, precaution, predawn, prehistoric, and preseason.

Wednesday:

Reading: Work  on the skill of the week- Inferences. Begin the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Read Chapters 1-4; Put together Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Packets.   

 Grammar- "Subjects and Predicates"  

 Writing- Cursive handwriting practice, Friendly Letter rough draft.

Spelling- Practice Spelling Test!

Thursday:

Reading: Vocabulary Daily Grade wbp.3-4. Read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Chp. 5-7. Work on novel packets-  Setting and types of characters.

Grammar: "Subjects and Predicates"

Writing: We Will Write as a whole group.

Spelling: Write a short story using ten spelling words.

Friday:

Unit 1 Lesson 1 Test- word analysis, vocabulary, and cold read comprehension questions.
